Review : Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick - MAT 5

How are you today? I am reviewing the most raved product: Maybelline's Bold Matte Lipstick. Actually in States Maybelline has launched two collections together namely - Bold and Nude. But only Bold is available in India as of now. Go on to read the full review.




Shade:
MAT 5. (deep pink shade)
(4 more shades available.)



Price: 
Rs. 375/- 

Effect:
Semi Satin Matte. 
(It looks little balmy on application. After a while it becomes completely matte. Its not completely opaque since it is not powder matte)

Packaging:
It comes covered in a secondary packaging of plastic with cool typography. Lipstick comes in a plain matte plastic case.



Swatch:

     


*The tint in the left picture was left after rigorous rubbing with tissue i.e Great pigmentation. The swatch on arm and lips was after 2 swipes.


Woohoos:

  • A-Mazing pigmentation. It actually feels like a lip tint rather than a lipstick.
  • Stays on for the entire day if you lightly eat/drink. And leaves a pretty stain after a full meal.
  • Its very smooth in application, doesnt tug.
  • It moisturizes the lips very very well. Lipstick doesn't feel dry at all on lips even after the moisturization goes away after a good 5 hours.
  • Even if you swipe on lips 10 times the lipstick does not feel loaded on lips. Its feather light.
  • Gorgeous bold shades.
  • Very Affordable.
Boos:
  • I really wish the cover had the same typography as on plastic. It would look classy.
  • The formulation is so amazing I wish they had more than mere 5 shades!

*Exfoliate lips properly before applying lipstick.

Verdict:

All in all Im very happy with this Maybelline launch and this one's a keeper. Have atleast one of them in your kit and you wont regret! This is perfect for days you feel bolder and want to feel the same right through the day ;). I will definitely repurchase this product because this collection is going to instantly pop in my head when im looking out for bold shades!

Ps: Im kind of eyeing on MAT 2.
