Greetings to all!

I bring to you today a very simple outfit which can easily pass as a holiday wear featuring The Gingham Shirt.

Learn the fashion term: Gingham is a lightweight plain-woven cotton cloth, typically checked in white and a bold color.

I was lucky enough to find this red gingham shirt in sleeveless with a self knot since it gives a little twist to the plain ol' shirt. I paired it with a brown midi skirt which had a self pleat giving enough texture and detail to the entire outfit. 

Tip: Tying a shirt knot is hot!

Keeping everything to its minimum, I topped it off with gold rings and a delicate moon stone necklace to give more colors to the outfit. I loved how the maroon-ish cross body went well with the brown skirt giving it the attention it requires since brown can be a bit of a dull color to wear. And finally the shoes! What's not the love?
Animal Print - check. Studs - check. Completes the outfit - check. 

Tip : When you have a fuss free outfit on, make sure you still jazz up your wear with pretty shoes. Be it flats too.

Quick Pairing Guide

Gingham shirts come in all colors one can imagine but my personal recommendation would be to go for the red-white one since it gives a retro feel, which is a nice change from the contemporary prints and fabrics we get today.

Pair them with solids. By solids I mean, wear trousers, skirts, absolutely anything with it but in solid colors.
